FEBRUARY 15TH:I am going to be lazy today. I did a quick sketch of my cup of peppermint tea this morning while waiting for my breakfast in The Vee cafe in Tramore and it is todays Picture-A-Day.
I fully intended to do more sketches but, well I have a terrible terrible cold and was up half the night hanging out the window with a star chart and if you want to be an artist you have to prepared to do bad stuff as well as good so really I am just demonstrating how great I am by putting this here and if you can follow that logic you may be coming down with the same fever I have;)
I quite like the peppermint teabags in the Vee, they are made of material and have actual stitching. To me, in my innocence, they are the very height of decadence
This sketch is not so bad I guess, just dull and a bit wonky. The saucer is off and the spoon looks like Uri Geller* may have been interefering with it. Still it is marks on paper so it qualifies. See you tomorrow.
*For younger readers Geller is an Israeli spoon bender who kept us enthralled through the dark ages of the 70s and 80s by bending spoons and reading our minds, not difficult as you may guess. We were simpler folk then. Some of us still are.
