PICTURE A DAY-TWO

Its been a long day. Up at 5am, I was pottering around the house and getting my to-do list sorted. Went down to Garrarus for a lunchtime dip.  The place was deserted. The water was absolutely freezing but when you start to swim in the sea you get addicted and there are some days when you know you need to take the plunge. It's like a drug and you will always feel better for it.
This evening I answered a challenge put to me by a friend to paint to Latin Jazz and had a fun and messy time for a couple of hours until I ran out of ink. Here's  a couple of samples.

I also did another picture for my One-A Day project. Not great at all but one has to be prepared to produce a lot of nondescript stuff in the quest to create art.

Now, time to hit the sack. I'm no Margaret Thatcher, I need my time in the scratcher.

PICTURE A DAY-ONE

I promised myself at the end of last week that I would do a picture a day five days a week, just to stretch my drawing muscles.  A scribble, a doodle, a splodge, anything that resembles a mark, even something that would take only a minute. Well here is the first one, typically quite far towards the end of the day. Now I am exhausted having spent the whole day immersed in avoidance activities. Its TOUGH you know, being an artist…..
